This is Empress Lynn Mary, Ruler Of The Galaxy. Note the lovely blonde locks, and the sparkling tiara. Our little Empress deserves nothing less than the finest. Not only is she powerful, but she is kind and generous. She currently resides with her namesake up in Washington State. She was a Christmas gift that I created especially for my older sister. There is no other like her, she’s one of a kind. That goes for the Empress as well.

The Empress wears a lovely empire waist, sparkling white dress, with silver trim. Her royal robes are a deep, sparkling, royal blue with sparkling white trim. She certainly is the brightest star in our galaxy!

Look at this adorable little guy I bought at the St. Agatha Thrifty Cottage during the St. Agatha Holiday Bazaar! Isn’t he sweet? He was one of three different snowmen in a series, but he’s the one I fell in love with. And, get this, he was only $2.50! Can you believe that? Thrifty Cottage is a bargain any time of year, so if you haven’t been there yet, you should go and see what they have to offer. I bought my daughter a set of dishes to take to school with her this year and I think we spent all of $7.00 on them. They were nice too!
The Thrifty Cottage proceeds all go to the church and to St. Agatha School. So you’re helping to keep the parish thriving when you shop there. The address is 1418 SE Nehalem, Portland, Oregon 97202. The hours are Mon.-Fri. 10am-2pm, Sat. 10am-3pm. Closed Sunday and Wednesday. Go check it out!
Hey, my daughter is simply amazing at coming up with these new patterns! She LOVES Jack Skellington, from The Nightmare Before Christmas! So, last year she designed her own pattern and made several dolls using it. This year she put a new twist on it and made Jack Skellington as Santa Claus! Now, if you’re not familiar with the movie, I’ll just say that this was a dream of Jack’s. So my daughter decided to create this character with her crochet hook and her brilliant mind! Here’s the 2011 Jack Skellington Santa Claus Doll.

As you can see, Jack is showing off his new book, the twelve days of Christmas in this photo. Jack will be for sale at the Craftivus Holiday Boutique (see Events for details) today and tomorrow. If you haven’t gone yet, don’t delay! Jack is one-of-a-kind and is bound to go quickly! Check out peculiarcrochet.wordpress.com to see more of my daughters creations.
There is a sweet and beautiful young woman working at the Starbuck’s in my neighborhood, and her name is Vivian. Vivian is always kind and happy, and she has the look of a 1930-1940 movie star. I wanted to try to capture the essence of what made Vivian unique, so I made this little doll. Of course, nothing can compare with the real Vivian! She is definitely one of a kind!
Here’s another picture of Vivian with her Thanksgiving Turkey. She doesn’t eat the Turkey, it’s her friend!
